Job summary

Cedars-Sinai Biomanufacturing Center (CBC) seeks a Biomedical Assistant to maintain controlled areas, assist with lab work, and conduct analyses under supervision. You will follow SOPs, support calibration and prep tasks, keep logs, and help ensure clean, compliant facilities.

The role involves handling stock, organizing supplies, and supporting routine experiments with attention to safety and precision in a cutting‑edge cell production environment at CBC.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a lab or biotech setting.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements including Federal, FDA, State, GLP, and accrediting agency requirements.
• Ability to record log samples, test results from experiments, and project records.
• Ability to help scientists with handling instruments and materials with knowledge of equipment or assist in performing tasks in the lab.
• Ability to multitask in a high impact and demanding environment.
• Understanding of general research objectives.
• Working knowledge of database management, personal computers, and presentation and imaging software.
• Understanding of general research objectives. Familiar with routine laboratory procedures and experimental protocols.
• Must possess computer skills to include, but not limited to, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Prepares sterile and non-sterile stock and working solutions.
• Cleans and maintains laboratory area(s), equipment and glassware.
• Supports occasionally experimentation and production activities as directed.
• Documents information by maintaining daily logs, equipment record books and/or computer database(s). Drafts standard operating procedures.
• Maintains daily lab equipment operations by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs, as needed.
• Administers laboratory supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders and verifying receipt.
