The Boeing Company in Fort Greely, Alaska, is seeking a GMD Sustainment and Repair Mod Tech to support the Ground Based Mid-Course Defense program. This onsite role involves assembling, testing, and repairing aerospace components to ensure flight readiness.

The position requires hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems, willingness to travel up to 20%, and the ability to work in confined spaces and at heights. A U.S. Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience assembling, repairing, and testing mechanical and electrical components and systems.
• Able and willing to travel up to 20% domestically for offsite support and offsite training.
• Able and willing to ascend and descend vertical work ladders, travel in silo basket (max load 275 lbs).
• Willing and able to work in confined spaces.
• Lift loads approximately 35 pounds.

• Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
• Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
• Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements.
• Oversees training.
• Works under general direction.

is currently looking for an GMD Sustainment and Repair Mod Tech to join their team in Fort Greely, AK. This position will support the Ground Based Mid-Course Defense (GMD) program. The GMD system is operationally capable to defend the homeland against long-range ballistic missile attacks.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

• Minimum of3 years' experience with assembling, repairing, and testing mechanical and electrical components and systems
• Able and willing to travel up to 20% of the time domestically for offsite support and offsite training.
• Able and willing to ascend and descend vertical work ladders, travel in silo basket (maximum load capacity of 275lbs).
• Willing and Able to work in confined spaces
• Lift loads approximately 35 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• Previous experience working on the Ground Based Mid-Course Defense (GMD) system a plus
• Experience working with ordnance is highly desirable.
• Ability to operate a Forklift, truck mounted crane, and other associated equipment a plus
• Valid commercial driver’s license a plus
• Familiarity with any of the following processes: Tool Control, Hazmat Control, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection Programs, & ESD Controls.

Summary pay range

Summary pay range: $73,100 - $98,900
