Modern Chevrolet of Winston-Salem is seeking an experienced GM Diesel Technician to join our team. We are looking for a technician with a strong GM background who is passionate about diagnostics, repairs, and delivering exceptional customer service.

This fourth-generation family-owned dealer offers competitive pay up to $50 per hour, bonuses, health benefits, 401(k), and opportunities for training and career advancement in a high-volume shop.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years GM technician experience.
• Diesel diagnostic and repair experience required.
• GM experience is required; GM certifications preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain GM diesel vehicles according to manufacturer standards.
• Perform advanced engine, electrical, fuel system, drivability, and emissions diagnostics.
• Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.
• Perform warranty and customer-pay repairs in accordance with dealership and factory guidelines.
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Road test vehicles as necessary to verify repairs and diagnose concerns.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
