Job summary

Conklin Automotive Group is seeking a skilled Automotive GM Certified Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and service GM vehicles in our busy service department. You will apply deep GM systems knowledge to troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and communicate repair needs clearly to customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; GM certification is required.
• Proven experience as a Service Technician, preferably with GM vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems on GM vehicles according to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues and develop effective repair solutions.
• Communicate repair requirements and maintenance recommendations to customers clearly and professionally.
• Stay up-to-date with GM training, certifications, and industry advancements.
• Support a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety standards.
• Collaborate effectively with service advisors and other technicians to ensure customer satisfaction.
