Job summary

The Sewell Family of Companies, a 100+ year old locally owned dealership in West Texas, seeks an Automotive Technician. We employ 500+ professionals across 3 cities, representing 5 world‑brand lines, with a focus on cutting‑edge technology and superior service.

As a technician, you will diagnose and repair vehicles, collaborate with the service team, and participate in training while upholding dealership policies and regulatory requirements in a family‑oriented environment that supports growth.

Qualifications

• Certified General Motors Technician required or equivalent.
• Experience in dealership or automotive repair environments preferred.
• Must complete drug screening and background checks; provide I-9 documentation.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Ongoing manufacturer certifications and training encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Examine, diagnose, and repair vehicles
• Communicate with service team regarding repairs
• Monitor repair time and update service advisors regularly
• Maintain adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operation
• Complete story and/or documentation for client repairs
• Assist in mentoring technician trainees
• Attend company and factory training
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations
