Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Gluing Operator to assist the production line in feeding, packing or palletizing finished cartons, ensuring high quality results on the gluing process.

You will support setup, perform quality checks, maintain equipment with the operator, and coordinate with teams to keep the line running smoothly, while adhering to GMP standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or warehousing environment.
• Ability to read technical drawings (Knife/Glue Line).
• Understand basic machine function.
• Understand ‘pre make ready’ process.
• Knowledge of standards and process.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist Operator with the setup of the machine to the standard required in preparation for the conversion or embellishment (make ready).
• Assess product for meeting quality standards, undertake quality checks.
• Assist the Operator with the gluing machine to ensure quality and productivity requirements are met.
• Conduct routine maintenance with the operator in accordance with the Daily Equipment Care checklist.
• Review workload with the operator to ensure all preparation work is managed in a timely manner to ensure continuous running of the machine.
• Responsible for housekeeping within department in accordance with GMP Policy and Audits.
• Assist in cross training other staff where applicable.
• Coordinate and liaise with operator to ensure jobs are prepped.

About The Role

To assist the Gluing operator to achieve high quality results in the conversion of printed and cut finished cartons. The role will support the day-to-day delivery of production on the line in either feeding, packing or palletizing.
