Job summary

Pfizer is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Global WAN/DMZ engineering and telecom governance. The role focuses on WAN/DMZ service delivery, cloud connectivity, and integrating with Security and Digital teams across Pfizer locations in the United States.

Hybrid work is expected, with collaboration across IT, Cloud, and Network Operations. The position calls for strong leadership, deep network engineering knowledge, and the ability to communicate complex issues to senior leaders while driving

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity or engineering.
• Demonstrated experience with IP routing and protocols in a large IP network.
• Proven coordination ability to troubleshoot and drive resolution.
• Experience provisioning MPLS networks and services.
• Understanding of SD-WAN design and operations.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own Global WAN and Telecom Service Delivery across enterprise WAN, Internet, MPLS, SD-WAN and cloud connectivity.
• Manage global telecom expenses including billing, forecasting, budgeting and cost transparency.
• Lead carrier relationships and negotiate service changes with major providers.
• Drive network modernization with SD-WAN, cloud networking and datacenter connectivity.
• Provide governance for WAN architectures and capacity planning.
• Coordinate cross-functional infrastructure projects with Cloud, Security and IT teams.
• Lead escalations and risk management for network operations.
