Cibus, a biotechnology company focused on gene-edited crops, seeks a Vice President, Government & Regulatory Affairs to drive global regulatory strategy and external policy engagement. The role leads a small team and partners with Legal, Compliance, and R&D to shape regulatory outcomes.

You will build relationships with USDA, EPA, FDA and international regulators, shepherd dossiers from development to launch, and influence policy through trade associations and public policy initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Agriculture, Biotechnology, Plant Science, Public Policy, Business or related field.
• 12+ years of progressive regulatory affairs and government/policy engagement experience.
• Prior leadership of a regulatory or government affairs function at VP level preferred.

Responsabilités

• Own and lead execution of Cibus' global regulatory affairs strategy across jurisdictions.
• Oversee dossier development, filings, registrations and pre-consultation packages.
• Provide oversight of regulatory compliance and interface with external consultants.
• Build and lead a regulatory function, manage budget and external counsel.
• Advise executives on regulatory risks, opportunities and timelines.
• Coordinate with Legal and Compliance to delineate regulatory advice from compliance.
