Job summary

BBVA, empresa global con más de 160 años de historia, busca ampliar su equipo en Trade Finance en California para colaborar con el Branch Manager y definir la estrategia, plan de negocio y presupuesto del área.

El puesto implica identificar oportunidades, visitar clientes, asesorar en soluciones financieras y negociar créditos, defendiendo propuestas ante riesgos y cierres de operaciones, bajo cumplimiento regulatorio.

Responsibilities

• Colaborar con el Branch Manager en definir la estrategia de negocio, plan de negocio y presupuesto para trade finance.
• Identificar y generar nuevas oportunidades de negocio en trade finance con clientes actuales y potenciales.
• Visitar y llamar a clientes, presentar productos y servicios, y preparar material de marketing.
• Brindar asesoría financiera y técnica adaptada al perfil del cliente y a sus necesidades de trade finance.
• Analizar operaciones y proponer estructuras de financiación.
• Negociar acuerdos de crédito y definir términos y condiciones en colaboración con Legal.
• Obtener la aprobación de riesgo, registrar propuestas y participar en comités para defender el crédito.
• Preparar y supervisar toda la documentación para el cierre y administración de operaciones.
• Generar ingresos recurrentes para cumplir con los objetivos de la unidad de Trade Finance a nivel regional.
• Colaborar con unidades de producto CIB para cross-selling y con equipos de soporte para la ejecución de operaciones.
• Mantener actualizadas las oportunidades de negocio en herramientas y bases de datos internas.
• Estar al tanto del marco regulatorio aplicable para ofrecer las transacciones más adecuadas.

¿Qué estamos buscando?

• Collaborate with the GTF Branch Manager in defining the business strategy, business plan and budget for the trade finance business with the clients under his responsibility
• Identify and generate new trade finance business opportunities with current and prospect clients
• Visit and call on clients proactively, occasionally accompanied by the Banker, offering funding and guarantees to the clients’ trade activity. Prepare marketing material including product presentations
• Offer a comprehensive financial and technical advisory service to clients adapted to the client’s financial profile and trade finance needs
• Conduct the analysis of the operation, defining the funding structure proposal.
• Negotiate credit agreements with clients, multilaterals, export credit agencies, other financial institutions and legal advisors. Define and negotiate the contract’s terms and conditions in collaboration with Legal, if required
• Obtain the Risk approval Register the proposal in the risk management tool and participate in different committees in order to defend the credit proposals and get Risks’ approval.
• Preparation and supervision of all documentation required for the deals closing and administration.
• Generate recurrent income in order to meet the revenue targets that are set each year in the Trade Finance Branch and Regional Trade Finance unit overall budget
• Liaise alongside with CIB product units for fostering products’ cross-selling and with CIB support units for the deal execution
• Register, modify and update customers’ business opportunities in the in-house client management tools and data sources
• Stay abreast of the specific regulatory framework that may affect the trade finance products in order to be able to offer the most suitable transactions
