Job summary

Versigent is seeking a Corporate Trade Manager to lead U.S. import/export compliance efforts, focusing on CBP requirements and trade programs. This role drives tariff exposure reduction, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure regulatory adherence across the organization.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in U.S. trade compliance, FTAs, HTSUS provisions, and a track record of deploying formal compliance programs while working with executive leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
• U.S. Customs Broker License strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in trade compliance, automotive industry preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in U.S. import, export, and re-export regulatory compliance.
• In-depth knowledge of CBP regulations and HTSUS classifications and valuation.
• Strong understanding of country-of-origin determination and recordkeeping obligations.
• Experience developing and managing a formal U.S. Customs Compliance Program.
• Knowledge of FTAs, Special Trade Programs, and related documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain import and export compliance programs, policies, and procedures.
• Identify and maximize duty-savings opportunities through FTAs and duty drawback programs.
• Serve as SME for tariff-related sections and provide impact assessments to senior management.
• Support cross-functional teams with duty impact analyses for sourcing and landed cost calculations.
• Lead training on trade compliance and support internal/external audits of transactions.
