Job summary

Venteon Finance is seeking a Global Tax Manager for a long-time manufacturing client in Oakland County. This role leads tax compliance, planning, and reporting processes while coordinating with international entities to ensure regulatory adherence.

Ideal candidates bring CPA/MST, 7+ years in tax, and strong supervisory experience, with broad exposure to federal, SALT, and international tax issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• CPA or MST highly preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant tax experience, including Public Accounting experience.
• Broad tax exposure including Federal and SALT Compliance, and International.
• Supervisory experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with management of tax compliance and tax provision process.
• Monitor and coordinate with foreign entities regarding local tax compliance filings, transfer pricing analysis/support, cash and book tax forecasting.
• Manage/Review the reporting process of monthly sales & use tax filings and exemption certificates, VAT, personal property tax filings, state and local business licenses, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES of the Global Tax Manager role

• Assist with management of tax compliance and tax provision process
• Monitor and coordinate with foreign entities regarding local tax compliance filings, transfer pricing analysis/support, cash and book tax forecasting
• Manage/ Review the reporting process of monthly sales & use tax filings and exemption certificates, VAT, personal property tax filings, state and local business licenses, etc.
• Respond to and resolve tax queries, assessments and claims from federal, state, and foreign governmental tax authorities
• Assist external firm with compiling transfer pricing documentation for yearly transfer pricing reports
• Perform tax planning and research activities in connections with business transactions, changing tax rules, and changing business processes
