Plante Moran is seeking an intern to gain hands-on exposure in international tax consulting, cross-border activities, and global compliance. You will work with our tax engagement teams, develop client-facing skills, and learn cross-line tax concepts in a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

The role emphasizes crafting business solutions, not just spreadsheets, with flexibility in work style and a focus on professional development and CPA readiness.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in accounting; or a Master's degree in accounting or tax, or LLM.
• Completed the first two entry-level accounting courses and currently enrolled in the first intermediate level accounting course.
• Academic GPA of at least 3.0.
• On track to complete the requisite degree and supporting credits to sit for the CPA exam.

Responsibilities

• Provide international tax consulting services for business arising from inbound and outbound cross-border activities.
• Provide tax services for individuals working in US and foreign countries.
• Prepare and review global tax return compliance for US companies.
• Opportunity to interact with tax engagement team as part of client entrenchment.
• Research developments within the international arena that may affect client businesses, both globally and locally.
• Develop meaningful interactions with staff at all levels and across offices.
• Deepen knowledge in both tax and tax consulting through exposure to both service lines.
