Job summary

AutoStore is seeking a System Safety Compliance Engineer to embed safety into product design from concept through market release. You will collaborate with system architects, hardware, software, and electrical engineers, and interface with external certification bodies to secure approvals.

The role emphasizes risk assessments, regulatory interpretation, and hands-on guidance across development, verification, and global market access for safety-critical products.

Qualifications

• Experience in product safety and regulatory compliance within manufacturing, machinery, automation, or industrial equipment.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into robust design solutions.
• Experience interfacing with external testing bodies and authorities.

Responsibilities

• Act as product safety and compliance contributor within R&D projects, embedding safety in architecture and design.
• Conduct risk assessments and safety analyses for complex electromechanical systems.
• Interpret CE, EN, IEC, ISO, and NRTL standards in practical engineering contexts.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance during development, design reviews, and change management.
• Contribute to safety strategy across the product lifecycle, including market access.
• Interface with test laboratories, notified bodies, and authorities to secure approvals and certifications.
• Support Product Management, Sales, and Operations with safety and regulatory input for global markets.
