Job summary

Exowatt, based in Austin, TX, is seeking a Global Supply Manager MBA Intern for Spring 2027. You will work with Global Supply Managers on sourcing strategy, supplier negotiations, and planning for P3 components and contract manufacturers.

You'll own a sourcing project from analysis to recommendation, participate in supplier negotiations, and present findings to Supply Chain & Manufacturing leadership. This is an on-site internship at our Austin facility.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in MBA with strong interest in operations, supply chain or strategy.
• Available to work on site at our Austin, TX facility from January 12 to April 16, 2027.
• 2+ years of work experience before MBA, ideally in supply chain, procurement, operations, engineering, manufacturing, or consulting.

Responsibilities

• Build sourcing strategy by analyzing spend, supplier capabilities and market options.
• Support negotiations with should-cost models and cost breakdowns; join negotiations.
• Plan supply by turning production schedules into timely supply plans.
• Reduce risk by mapping single-source and long-lead parts; develop dual-sourcing and contingency options.
• Drive cost reduction through value engineering, design-for-cost ideas, volume strategy and process improvements.
• Measure suppliers with scorecards tracking quality, delivery and cost.
• See hardware on the factory floor to understand buildability and cost drivers.
• Present final recommendation to leadership in April.
