Global Supply Manager (Capital Equipment)

Location: Hybrid Structure, Full Time, San Francisco

Position Overview

We are looking for a high-energy CAPEX GSM that will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing capital equipment necessary for our clients' factories. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing a software tool tailored to streamline the equipment procurement process.

Responsibilities

Global Supply Management

• Manage the procurement process from initial purchase requisition to delivery and installation.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for capital equipment purchases.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, & contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness & quality standards.
• Collaborate with all stakeholders to determine equipment specifications and requirements.
• Maintain strong relationships with equipment suppliers to ensure reliability and responsiveness.
• Monitor supplier performance and address issues to optimize supply chain efficiency.

Technical competency

Product Management

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the development & design to implement features discovered during customer interactions.
• Gather feature requirements, define specifications, and clearly articulate these requirements to the design and development team.
• Provide ongoing support to optimize the functionality & usability of the procurement software tool.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in capital equipment procurement within a manufacturing environment.
