Job summary

Briggs & Stratton, LLC in Munnsville, NY seeks a Supervisor Supply Chain to oversee import/export for the Billy Goat service/aftermarket line, ensuring compliance and on-time delivery. You will work with external vendors and internal teams to optimize processes and drive cost efficiencies.

The role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of international trade, and the ability to lead a diverse hourly workforce while collaborating with senior leadership. Onsite position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in International Business or related field or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience in import/export operations and familiarity with global customs.

Responsibilities

• Manage importation/exportation administration for a region's inventory replenishment and international distributor sales.
• Partner with outside manufacturers to establish strategy and objectives for staff to ensure high customer service with cost-efficient procedures.
• Manage distributor and supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery and quality specifications.
• Collaborate with third-party logistics providers and internal customers to optimize shipments, scheduling and order processing.
• Provide a high-level interface between suppliers and internal customers to resolve issues.
• Develop, implement, and maintain manuals and procedures for import/export compliance activities.
• Provide technical support on import/export compliance issues.
• Maintain understanding of export controls, customs regulations, harmonized tariff schedule, and product lines.
• Act as contact for US Dept of Commerce and US Customs; oversee freight forwarder and broker processes.
• Interact with legal on regulatory issues and train for compliance initiatives.
• Perform managerial duties including planning, hiring, coaching, and performance management.
