Job summary

United Airlines seeks a Technical Operations Intern to support data-driven projects across Supply Chain Insights, Inventory Management, and Strategy. You will work with our teams to analyze data, learn about optimization and AI-enabled research, and gain hands-on experience in technical operations.

The internship is paid, runs 10–12 weeks in Summer 2027, and may be located in Chicago, IL or San Francisco, CA. Strong analytical and communications skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, AI/Machine Learning or another related field
• Must have a minimum of 12 semester hours in core degree coursework
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
• Individual should be a rising junior (at minimum) when the internship begins
• Must be available for 10-12 weeks during the summer 2027
• Work-related travel may be required; individuals must be able to travel without any restrictions
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US for an employer without sponsorship now or at any point in the future.
