Job summary

You will lead supplier assessments, develop action plans, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve quality metrics and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field and 3–5 years of experience.
• Proven experience as a Supplier Quality Development Engineer or similar role.
• Strong QA knowledge including APQP and PPAP.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Drive the strategic development of the supplier portfolio to ensure quality and tech standards.
• Track KPIs and initiate escalation when needed.
• Support supplier portfolio management and sourcing council recommendations.
• Plan and conduct supplier initial assessments and corrective actions.
• Monitor supplier risks and conduct on-site assessments with follow-up actions.
• Participate in supplier evaluations and contract negotiations related to quality.
• Travel to Schaeffler or supplier sites as required.
