Job summary

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking an International Student Advisor to guide F-1 students through immigration processes, maintain records, and ensure compliance with DHS regulations.

As a Designated School Official, you will collaborate with campus partners to deliver a welcoming, student-centered experience, oversee CPT/OPT processing, and help students navigate programs and services. Join a team dedicated to inclusion and student success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and directly related experience may be considered.
• 1-3 years of experience in student support, advising, higher education, or a related field.
• Experience with SEVIS and F-1 student immigration regulations; familiarity with Campus Solutions / Via TRM.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) for F-1 students at the Daytona Beach campus and provide support for designated requests from the Prescott campus.
• Maintain accurate student immigration records within SEVIS and ensure compliance with federal reporting requirements.
• Process student requests related to immigration status, including changes, residency requirements, and other SEVIS actions.
• Coordinate pre-arrival programming and provide virtual advising sessions for incoming international students.
• Review and process F-1 requests for summer camp participants and residency requirements.
• Provide backup support for CPT, OPT, and STEM OPT advising and processing.
• Assist with international student orientation, check-in, and semester registration requirements.
• Collaborate with campus departments to support international student success and enhance the overall student experience.
• Participate in international student programming and identify opportunities to improve processes and customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of the International Student & Scholar Services office.
