Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead a Raw Materials category, including media, resins, chemicals, excipients, single-use, and filters. You will guide global sourcing strategy, evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and drive cost optimization while aligning with enterprise priorities.

You will collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Data Privacy, and Cybersecurity teams to manage risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver value through strategic supplier partnerships.

Qualifications

• Doctorate, or
• Masters + 2 years Sourcing experience, or
• Bachelors + 4 years Sourcing experience, or
• Associates + 8 years Sourcing experience, or
• High school diploma/GED + 10 years Sourcing experience

Responsibilities

• Lead global sourcing initiatives focused on cost optimization, supplier performance, and risk management.
• Manage end-to-end supplier selection, negotiations, contracting, and relationship management.
• Develop and negotiate contracts with clear scope, deliverables, timelines, and accountability.
• Analyze procurement and supplier data to identify savings opportunities and improve efficiency.
• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
• Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships that drive quality, innovation, and long-term value.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and risk management standards.
