Job summary

Nextpower, based in Fremont, California, is seeking a Steel Sourcing Analyst to support steel component sourcing and supplier management across domestic and global supply bases. The role reports to a Senior Sourcing Manager and focuses on analyzing quotes, market trends, and cost drivers to support strategic decisions.

You will develop cost and capacity models, supplier trackers, and dashboards while collaborating with procurement, engineering, and finance teams to optimize supplier performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• 5–8 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain analytics; master’s degree reduces experience need.
• Strong understanding of sourcing, supplier management and cost analysis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage RFQ/RFP activities for steel components and coordinate with suppliers.
• Analyze quotations, cost breakdowns, market trends, and capacity data to identify drivers and risks.
• Develop cost models, capacity models, supplier trackers, and sourcing dashboards.
• Identify price patterns and supplier risks; propose actions to improve cost and performance.
• Support supplier screening, onboarding, and performance reviews across markets.
