Job summary

Working closely with category leadership, the successful candidate will play a key role in designing and translating sourcing strategies into actionable initiatives, delivering measurable value across FMC's global operations.As FMC continues to optimize its global supply network, strengthen supplier partnerships and enhance procurement capabilities, the Global Sourcing Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the availability, competitiveness and sustainability of strategically important raw materials across our global manufacturing footprint.One of the unique aspects of this opportunity is the ability to make a visible impact from day one. Working within a lean and highly engaged team, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence sourcing decisions and drive execution of key procurement initiatives, drive meaningful improvements and contribute to the continuous development of sourcing practices within the Procurement organization. With a dynamic pace, direct collaboration, and high visibility among procurement leadership and business stakeholders, this role is ideally suited for professionals who are energized by change, continuous improvement, and creating tangible business value.The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of global sourcing activities and supporting the management of Solvents, Surfactants, Sugars and Starches subcategories, delivering towards both business continuity and long-term value creation.The role requires strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking and the ability to influence stakeholders in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, R&D and finance.Key Responsibilities:We are seeking a candidate that can hit the ground running and make a visible impact within a short period of time. You can anticipate the following key responsibilities:Supporting the development and execution of subcategory strategies in partnership with category leadership and key stakeholdersConduct cost-analysis activities in partnership with finance and the business to identify savings opportunities against management targetsIdentify, contract, and manage strategic relationships for operations and capital expenditureManage seamless business partnerships with the manufacturing, supply chain and manufacturing technology functionsDevelop and execute subcategory sourcing strategies (e.g. RFI, RFP, RFQ, scorecard and bid analysis, etc.)Negotiate supplier contracts utilizing FMC contract templates & proceduresManage timely and cost-effective resolution of contractual variations with stakeholders and suppliersIntegrate best practices and modernized business processes across FMC, ensuring best use of tools, techniques and processesCollaborate with FMC’s Global Procurement Group’s Center of Excellence (CoE) teamKey Requirements:5+ years of international experience within sourcing, procurement, commercial, or operations in a multinational environment (preferably Pharmaceutical, Agricultural, or Chemical sectors)Proficiency in English.
