Job Summary

The Global Sourcing Manager owns full categories and leads sourcing strategies that drive cost optimization, quality performance, and supply continuity. This role manages key suppliers, leads major negotiations, and partners cross-functionally to ensure sourcing decisions align with business, operational, and compliance requirements. The Global Sourcing Manager plays a critical role in developing category strategies and driving supplier performance.

Sourcing Category Ownership

Develop sourcing category strategies, including cost, quality, service, and risk mitigation plans.
Monitor market trends and provide category insights.

Supplier Relationship Management

Manage key suppliers and lead business reviews.
Drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure supplier performance meets company standards.

Negotiation & Cost Management

Lead major negotiations for pricing, terms, and service levels.
Own sourcing category cost models and savings pipelines.
Support long-term cost reduction initiatives.

Cross Functional Collaboration

Partner with merchandising, procurement, transportation, quality, and compliance teams.
Lead cross-functional category initiatives.
Support implementation of sourcing tools and processes.

Market & Category Insights

Monitor global market trends, supply base shifts, and emerging sourcing opportunities.
Provide category insights and recommendations to inform strategic planning and supplier selection.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.

Remote Work Qualifications

Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.
Access to a home router and modem.
A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free. The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible).
A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.). PO Boxes are not supported, as a physical address is required for you to receive your computer equipment.
The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc.

Experience

5-7 years of experience in sourcing, supply chain, or procurement, preferably in a global environment.
Demonstrated success in supplier management, negotiations, and cost reduction initiatives.
Experience working with international suppliers and navigating global trade, compliance, and quality requirements.
Proven ability to mentor and grow team members while fostering a collaborative, high-accountability culture.

Education
