Job summary

ITT Inc. is seeking a Global Sourcing Manager in California to enhance supply chain performance by managing approximately $300M in global spend. The role focuses on supplier relationships, risk mitigation, and cost optimization within a high‑tech, regulated manufacturing setting.

The position is on-site in CA (Orchard Park, Valencia, Irvine, or El Cajon) with up to 50% travel, reporting to the Director of Strategic Sourcing. Strong negotiation and Lean expertise are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of global sourcing leadership experience in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Global Sourcing contract negotiation skills.
  • Experience with Lean practices (Daily Management, Standard Work, Kaizen, Heijunka, Poka-yoke, Gemba).
  • English fluency required; additional languages beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sourcing / supply chain strategies to harness economies of scale and manage global supply.
  • Lead negotiations with major OEM suppliers and provide global leadership.
  • Evaluate suppliers on price, quality, service, and capabilities; monitor supplier performance.
  • Oversee supplier selection using total cost and category management principles.
  • Identify, qualify, and manage suppliers to secure favorable terms and ensure operational performance.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and other category managers to drive VAVE savings.
  • Engage early with NPD teams to align supplier expectations and quality for new launches.
  • Identify new materials and capabilities to meet ITT product needs.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Director, S trategic Sourcing for ITT (Connect & Control Technologies), the Global Sourcing Manager is a critical member of the Global Supply Management group responsible for enhancing overall supply chain performance through the effective management of ~$ 3 00M in global spend. This role is responsible for implementing ITT’s business strategy to your assigned categories and maintaining the best sources of supply. The Global Sourcing Manager is responsible for building strong supplier relationships and being proactive in mitigating supply chain challenges due to emerging economic trends around pricing, logistics , and geo-political risks. Working collaboratively with cross functional teams, this role will identify and champion complexity - reduction initiatives that will enhance profitability and service to customers.
This is an on-site position that can be located in Orchard Park, Valencia, Irvine, or El Cajon, CA with up to 50% travel.

Essential Responsibilities
  • For the assigned categories, develop and implement sourcing / supply chain strategies to harness economies of scale, drive economic value, manage supply chain risk, and enable business growth at a global level in a multi-market-culture environment.
  • Lead complex and critical negotiations utilizing extensive professional knowledge of principles and techniques of negotiation in the purchasing cycle. Provide global leadership for the major OEM suppliers.
  • Research and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, selection, service, support, availability, reliability, production and distribution capabilities, and the supplier's reputation and history.
  • Leverage supplier management, category / commodity management and total cost principles to oversee the supplier selection process within the respective businesses / sites and encourage productive relationships with appropriate suppliers that drive meaningful value.
  • Search, identify , qualify, develop, and manage suppliers to secure the best possible terms (cost, payment, inventory, etc . ) while ensuring operational performance (quality, OTD, lead time, cost, etc . ).
  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality and other category managers to drive value analysis and engineering (VAVE) savings.
  • Partner with NPD teams to obtain early supplier engagement to set expectations, optimize quality, supply reliability, while reducing risk and cost for new product launches.
  • Identify and introduce new materials, technologies, and supply chain capabilities to meet current and future needs of ITT products.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year college or university in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or equivalent is required .
  • Minimum of 10 years of broad and global sourcing leadership experience, preferably in a highly regulated manufacturing organization, across a large multi-location, global business.
  • Global Sourcing contract negotiation skills. Experience in a mixed mode manufacturing environment, Engineer to Order, Low Volume / High Mix, and Configure to Order environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interact with all levels of external and internal customers and stakeholders. Demonstrated experience influencing executives.
  • Working knowledge of Lean practices such as Daily Management, Standard Work, Kaizen, Heijunka , Poka- yoke, and Gemba.
  • Experience with a variety of commodities , including, but not limited to: precision metal machining, composites and plastics, injection molding, electronics and cables .
  • Drive performance with a sense of urgency and a commitment to work together as a team to achieve results.
  • D emonstrated success in a large-scale, global organization with the ability to work at both the strategic and detailed level.
  • English fluency is required , while ability to communicate in one or more of the following languages is highly beneficial: German, Italian, French, Chinese (Mandarin / Cantonese)
  • Travel up to 50%

Annual Salary Range is from $119,400.00 to $178,200.00, plus benefits & incentive plan.
