Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior Global Sourcing Manager to set and execute current and future transportation sourcing strategies across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. You will issue RFQs, analyze bids, negotiate contracts, and report metrics to ensure cost, performance, and organizational targets are met.

The role requires collaborating with GM teams, service providers, 3PLs, and GM plants while driving continuous improvement and cost savings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent
• 5+ years in purchasing, supply chain, or logistics
• Proven ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies
• Experience leading RFQs, bids, and contract negotiations
• Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and legal/commercial teams

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute trucking and intermodal procurement strategy
• Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers and legal teams
• Maintain and manage Quality Bid lists and supplier performance dashboards
• Lead supplier KPI reviews and quarterly business reviews
• Manage sourcing packages using GPSC process (RFQ, quote analysis, award)
• Provide continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives
• Collaborate with manufacturing, finance, and logistics teams
• Support and lead cross-functional projects as needed
