Job summary

Oatey is seeking a Global Sourcing Intern for a 12-week summer program in Cleveland, OH. You will work with Sourcing personnel at all levels, supporting administrative tasks, spend data analysis, and RFQ project organization while gaining exposure to direct and indirect sourcing processes.

You will be mentored one-on-one, participate in lunch series and networking events, and have opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Supply Chain, Operations, Business or related field.
• Strong analytical skills.
• High competency with the Microsoft Office suite of products.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated high initiative.

Responsibilities

• Support administrative tasks including New Item Set-up Sheets, Quality Feedback management, Trade Agreements updates, Purchase requisition support and Purchase Order creation.
• Collect and analyze spend data that will be used to help Sourcing improve reporting.
• Organize data for Direct and Indirect RFQ projects.
• Review Direct and Indirect Sourcing processes and recommend opportunities for improvement.

Global Sourcing Intern Position Summary

The Global Sourcing Intern will work directly with Sourcing personnel at all levels within Oatey’s org structure. Time will be divided between Direct Sourcing and Indirect Sourcing activities and projects. While working in this role the individual will be expected to communicate effectively in person, through email and over the phone, interacting with suppliers as well as internal stakeholders. The position is designed to support negotiations, supplier management and cost savings projects. These activities will provide exposure to all functional departments within Oatey and give the individual a thorough overview of the Sourcing function.

Expectations & Accountabilities…

• Support administrative tasks including, but not limited to, New Item Set‑up Sheets, Quality Feedback management, Trade Agreements updates, Purchase requisition support and Purchase Order creation

• Other duties as assigned

Compensation Range for the Position:

$20.00 USDHourly
