Job summary

Toyota Automated Logistics is seeking a Project Engineer to oversee multiple software and automation projects across the U.S. and abroad. You will coordinate teams, materials, and schedules, act as the customer’s main contact, and ensure milestones and budgets are met.

The role requires collaboration with developers, provision of training, and active involvement in QA and on-site support to optimize system performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and databases (SQL Server and Oracle).
• Experience with material handling systems and/or warehouse management systems preferred.
• Passion for industrial engineering and creating efficiencies.
• Ability to clearly communicate with project teams and customers verbally and in writing.
• Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
• Employees must follow information security policies and report any suspected security incidents.

Responsibilities

• Be an integral participant in software installation, testing, debugging, and turnover of the system to the customer.
• Submit weekly Project Reports to keep the customer updated and schedule meetings.
• Provide input about the customer’s operations to design the best solution.
• Collaborate with Software Developers to improve products and resolve issues.
• Provide customer and internal training on TAL software products on-site or at TAL’s office.
• Participate in system QA and understand inter-workings of each software module.
• Support the customer’s system remotely or on-site to improve operational effectiveness.
