Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking a Senior Clinical Program Leader in Obesity and Liver to accelerate clinical development and regulatory success. This leader will guide medical strategy, integrate cross-functional teams, and ensure high-quality evidence generation across programs within the OneHP framework.

The role requires an MD or PhD with extensive drug development experience, strong leadership, and the ability to operate in a global matrix environment while ensuring patient-centered outcomes

Qualifications

• MD or PhD with extensive experience across all stages of clinical drug development.
• Ability to lead complex, high-priority projects in a global matrix.
• Strong strategic mindset and excellent communications, influencing, and training skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee clinical development plans for obesity and liver indications.
• Lead the cross-functional evidence team and budget responsibility for designated programs.
• Manage regulatory strategy input and prepare submissions (IND/NDA/MAA).
• Author clinical documentation including protocols, CDs, and publications.
• Ensure compliance with GCP and global regulatory/ethical standards.
• Mentor CPLs and liaise with external stakeholders and thought leaders.
