Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Global Security Director to lead strategy and execution of security initiatives protecting products, facilities, IP, and people. You will build cross-functional relationships, drive risk mitigation, and guide security programs across multinational operations.

You will manage a team, set metrics, and partner with external agencies to safeguard Abbott's brand while aligning with global policies and business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; minimum 15 years of experience in a corporate or government environment.
• Must hold a current high level security clearance.
• Minimum 5 years of demonstrable international security management experience.
• Experience working with international law enforcement agencies (Interpol, Europol, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Formulate key internal and external business and strategic relationships.
• Develop and implement Abbott's Global Security strategy and governance across the organization.
• Lead a team and manage performance, hiring, retention, and training.
• Engage with internal stakeholders and external partners to enable real-time exchange of critical intelligence.
• Provide risk-based advice and communicate security opportunities and threats to senior leaders.
