RTX Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a security operations professional to perform triage, analysis, and incident response onsite. You will own crisis management, monitor cameras and access control, and coordinate with local resources to protect people, property, and information.

The role requires DoD-level clearance eligibility, 4+ years of security experience, and the ability to work irregular hours in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or AA/AS degree with 4+ years of relevant security experience.
• Must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance.
• Experience with standard office software for communications, productivity, and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day triage, analysis, and mitigation of security threats.
• Assume ownership of crisis or incident response, including dispatch and reporting.
• Conduct real-time security operations using alarms, cameras, and access points to identify and resolve threats.
• Manage access control, camera surveillance and intrusion detection systems.
• Monitor fire systems and mass notification for security events.
• Drive improvements to standard operating procedures as the environment changes.
• Provide investigative support through reporting and evidence analysis.

The position is working onsite at our Cedar Rapids, Iowa facility.

What You Will Do:

• Perform day-to-day triage, analysis, and mitigation of security threats, approached in a holistic strategic manner.
• Assume direct ownership and management of crisis (or incident), to include dispatch, response, and reporting of internal resources and local municipalities.
• Conduct real-time security operations, monitoring and response supported by a wide network of security access points, alarms, cameras and application resources leveraged to identify, respond, and support threat resolution.
• Manage access control, camera surveillance and intrusion detection management.
• Monitor fire system monitoring, imminent threat and mass notification.
• Drive continuous improvement of standard operating procedures as the environment changes.
• Provide quality resolution to assigned projects as delegated by leadership.
• Provide investigative support by undertaking administrative and evidence gathering functions, to include reporting and security technology output analysis and retention.
• Provide tier one/two technical support in security technology and service solutions.
• Provide compliant NISP and NIST (DFARS) security services and solutions.
• Handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
• Operate as able to be self-direct and motivated in a team oriented, collaborative environment.
• Stay detail-oriented and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced high pressure environment.
• Work irregular hours, weekends and holidays, and peer backfills when needed.
• Influence and interact across a matrix organizational structure.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Must be capable of obtaining a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Security Clearance.
• Experience with standard software applications for communications, productivity, and presentation.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience in physical security principles and/or applications such as access control, camera surveillance, intrusion detection, and visitor management.
• Experience in investigations or investigative support roles.
• Experience in incident and crisis management.
