Job summary

Biogen is seeking a Global Safety Physician based in Cambridge, MA, to oversee pharmacovigilance for investigational and marketed products. You will manage safety surveillance, analyze safety data, and integrate safety science into development plans across multiple disease areas.

Responsibilities include leading safety initiatives, coordinating with Clinical Development, Regulatory, and Medical teams, and ensuring compliant reporting to authorities.

Qualifications

• MD required; subspecialty focus in neuroscience, psychiatry, immunology, rare diseases preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry or clinical care setting; ideally 1+ years of PV experience.
• Experience with clinical trials; familiarity with US/EU pharmacovigilance regulations.
• Ability to lead teams and interact with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage safety surveillance for assigned products and analyze safety data.
• Provide safety strategic leadership for clinical development programs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with Clinical Development, Regulatory, Medical and QA teams.
• Ensure timely reporting of periodic and expedited safety reports in line with regulatory timelines.
