Job summary

Worldpay seeks a hands-on Lead Risk Data Scientist & ML Engineer to own the full lifecycle of fraud detection and risk models. You will drive model performance from design to deployment, and guide AI-assisted workflows across risk, compliance, and technology teams.

You will build scalable pipelines and ensure regulatory alignment while leading cross-functional projects in a fast-paced environment. A strong emphasis on practical ML, governance, and auditable solutions underpins this role.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data science, machine learning or MLOps.
• Proven experience deploying detection models (fraud/AML/credit) in production.
• Hands-on with AI-assisted workflows, LLMs, and agentic frameworks (pilot deployments).
• Experience in regulated financial services or fintech envs preferred.
• Exposure to model risk management frameworks (SR 11-7).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end lifecycle of detection models and AI workflows.
• Lead model performance monitoring and production optimization.
• Ensure models are explainable, auditable, and regulatory-aligned.
• Design scalable data pipelines for model development and serving.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Tech teams.
