Job summary

GIC Private Limited in New York is seeking an Associate to support underwriting and closing real estate transactions across equity and debt structures. You will lead financial modeling, prepare papers for senior staff, and help manage a multi‑billion dollar Americas portfolio.

The role requires a bachelor’s in business, finance, or real estate, 1–2 years in investment banking or real estate, and strong analytical abilities. Base salary ranges from $121,500 to $161,000 with performance bonuses.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with a business, finance or real estate finance focus.
Minimum of 1‑2 years investment banking or real estate experience.
Must have excellent analytical skills and be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Assist with underwriting and closing real estate transactions across the capital structure (private/public equity and debt).
Take on the primary role in the financial modeling of transactions.
Assist with the preparation of approval papers for submission to senior investment staff.
Understand structuring and tax issues related to transactions.
Participate in the management and oversight of a portion of the Americas multi‑billion dollar real estate portfolio, including execution of asset strategy and administrative, financial, capital and operations capacities of the assigned portfolio.
For sub‑performing investments, participate in the development of strategy to improve performance and implement the same.
Conduct financial research on public and private companies for potential acquisition.
Participate in various global strategy groups.
Function as a contact for various existing fund and joint venture relationships.
