Job summary

The R&D Strategy and Portfolio Management team at PepsiCo seeks a Sr. Director, Global R&D Foods, Strategy and Portfolio Management to lead the portfolio of strategic options and align R&D investments with priorities across Global R&D Foods.

This leadership role reports to the SVP Foods R&D and collaborates with senior management to balance short- and long-term objectives, risks, and costs.

Qualifications

• MSc in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or equivalent with 15+ years in Food/Beverage/CPG.
• Proven leadership across end-to-end R&D work in global foods.
• Strong business sense to land strategic solutions and compelling business cases.
• Experience with transformational initiatives and data analytics.
• Ability to navigate a matrix organization with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage a portfolio of strategic options aligned with Global Foods.
• Develop sector Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and mid-year adjustments.
• Collaborate with S&PM leadership on investments and tradeoffs for AOP.
• Integrate local project portfolios with R&D AOP across project types.
• Implement value-based portfolio management and analytics.
• Lead strategic planning and insights for Global Foods category.
• Drive organizational change with integrated strategies and data requests.
• Partner with Finance & HR on budget and resource planning.
• Share competitive intelligence and best practices across S&PM and R&D.
