Jacobio Pharmaceuticals Group Co., Ltd. seeks a world-class R&D Business Development professional to identify global innovation opportunities, assess novel drug assets, and support strategic partnerships across the pharma ecosystem. You will coordinate due diligence and cross-functional teams to drive project advancement.
The role requires a Ph.D. with at least two years in drug discovery and BD, strong scientific analysis, and excellent communication for international discussions.
1. In alignment with the company's strategic objectives, proactively identify global innovation opportunities, including novel drug assets, emerging technologies, and potential research collaborations, and support the execution of R&D-focused business development initiatives and strategic partnerships.
2. Track global advances and emerging trends in innovative drug discovery and development, contribute to strategic discussions on pipeline expansion, external innovation strategies, and the evaluation and introduction of promising technologies and therapeutic opportunities.
3. Lead opportunity scouting, preliminary assessment, due diligence, and project evaluation processes. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and cross-functional teams to facilitate collaboration opportunities and ensure effective project advancement.
4. Conduct comprehensive industry, technology, and project research; integrate and analyze relevant information; generate strategic insights and evaluation reports to support decision-making on potential partnerships and investments.
5. Establish and maintain a strong global network across the pharmaceutical and biotechnology ecosystem, including biotech companies, research institutions, and industry experts, to continuously identify high-value innovation and collaboration opportunities.
1. Ph.D. degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology, or other relevant biomedical disciplines. Overseas education, research, or industry experience is highly preferred.
2. Minimum 2 years of experience in drug discovery and development-focused business development (R&D BD), with practical experience in opportunity scouting, asset evaluation, due diligence, licensing, or strategic collaboration within the pharmaceutical R&D ecosystem. Outstanding Ph.D. graduates or early‑career professionals with strong interest in pursuing a long‑term career in R&D BD will also be considered.
3. Strong capabilities in scientific research, project evaluation, strategic analysis, and multitasking management, with the ability to independently conduct complex assessments and support business decisions.
4. Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
5. Flexible, proactive, and adaptable mindset with the ability to quickly understand evolving scientific and business landscapes and respond to changing priorities.
6. Excellent command of English, both written and spoken, with the ability to independently conduct international communications, scientific/business discussions, negotiations, and relationship management with global partners.
