AMVAC CHEMICAL CORP is seeking a Global Quality Manager to lead QMS across domestic and international sites. You will drive quality strategy, audits, and continuous improvement in collaboration with Manufacturing, R&D, Regulatory Compliance and EH&S.

The role requires 8+ years in QA in manufacturing, with strong leadership and regulatory knowledge. Travel up to 30% is expected. Excellent communication and budget management skills are essential.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or certifications preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and regulatory standards.
  • Experience leading QA, QC and compliance teams in manufacturing.

Global Quality Manager _

Full Time Regular Axis, AL, US

The Global Quality Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and overseeing the organization’s quality management system (QMS) that ensures compliance with regulatory guidelines, and meets or exceeds the industry standards and customer requirements. This is a leadership role and is responsible for quality control teams across multiple manufacturing sites both domestic and internationally. The Global Quality Manager (GQM) is also responsible for the quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) support for all internal and external (tolling) manufacturing. The role focuses on continuous improvement and driving a culture of quality within the organization. The GQM will play a key role within a cross-functional team and collaborate with Manufacturing, R&D, Regulatory Compliance and EH&S to foster a culture of excellence, risk management and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and Implementing QMS:Responsible for creating and implementing QMS ensuring it aligns with industry standards and organizational goals
  • Quality Strategy and Planning:Develop and oversee the implementation of quality strategies and plans, ensuring alignment with the organization’s overall objectives
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead and manage QC managers and quality management teams from all manufacturing sites, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
  • Quality Control Function: Responsible for all aspects for quality control function including product analysis, release, and troubleshooting support
  • Training and Development:Conduct training and awareness programs to educate employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices to promote a culture of quality
  • Audits and Inspections:Oversee internal and external audits and inspections to ensure compliance with the QMS and identify areas for improvement
  • Managing Non-Conformances:Manage non-conforming products and processes ensuring corrective and preventative actions are taken
  • Reporting and Communication:Provide regular reports on the performance of the QMS to stakeholders; Prepare and present quality reports to management highlighting key metrics and suggesting areas for enhancement
  • Continuous Improvement:Drive a culture of continuous improvement identifying areas for enhancement; Implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and economy
  • Lead Problem‑Solving Efforts:Addressing quality issues through root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Staying Informed:Keeping up to date with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure the QMS remains effective and compliant
  • Regulatory Compliance: Align and comply with all company EH&S, CHP plans and policies and comply with all regulatory requirements
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned by the supervisor


Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Chemistry, Quality Management or related) required
    Advanced degree / Certifications are a plus.

Experience Requirements:

  • 8+ years of proven experience in Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of five (5) years in a managerial role leading QA, QC, compliance teams
  • Experience conducting and managing internal and external audits with the ability to implement corrective actions and continuous improvement plans
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) e.g., ISO9001 is preferred
  • Six Sigma, ASQ, or equivalent certifications preferred
  • Proven experience in regulatory compliance within the agrochemical / agriculture industry, with knowledge of relevant standards andregulations
  • Strong background in identifying and managing quality and compliance risks
  • Proven skills in leadership, project management, effective delegation, and budget management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and collaborate across the organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention todetail
  • Willingness to travel up to30%
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required
  • Must pass post‑offer background check and other appropriate tests as required
