Job summary

Silgan Closures in Downers Grove, IL is seeking a Corporate Quality Engineer to join our team. This role will drive quality systems, support new product launches, and lead root cause analysis across global manufacturing facilities.

You will use SPC, Lean Six Sigma, and ISO-based controls to improve performance, collaborate with suppliers and plant teams, and advance our quality standards in a Fortune 500 packaging leader. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Packaging Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with statistical analysis and quality tools preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma and QMS knowledge advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Audit and improve quality systems, process monitoring, and data collection tools.
• Support new product launches and manufacturing quality improvements.
• Develop and validate testing and inspection protocols.
• Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement projects.
• Utilize SPC to improve quality performance.
