General Motors seeks a current student for a rotated early-career program in Supply Chain disciplines, offering exposure to purchasing, logistics, and planning. Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Graduating between December 2026 and June 2027.
  • Able to work fulltime for the summer (40 hours/week).
  • No GM sponsorship required now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Rotate every six months across Purchasing, Logistics, Supply Chain, and other areas during the first two years.
  • Develop and implement commercial strategies to deliver value to customers.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality parts and services for current and upcoming vehicle models.
  • Cultivate cross-functional relationships with suppliers.
  • Source key parts, systems, and technologies for GM vehicles and future EV products.
  • Balance cost, quality, timing, and innovation with suppliers.
  • Plan and support vehicle and propulsion production so plants have the right parts at the right time.
  • Use data to manage demand, material changes, and daily supply chain operations.
  • Support inbound and outbound logistics from plants to customers.
  • Help design packaging, routes, and logistics solutions to reduce cost.
  • Contribute to sustainability, supplier resiliency, and value-chain projects.
  • Gain exposure to strategy, planning, GM Energy, and new business models.
