Job summary

Magna International seeks a Finance Manager in Troy, MI, to provide strategic financial leadership for Global Purchasing. You will drive budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and automation across Magna Powertrain facilities, partnering with IT to enable digital tools and standardized processes.

Lead supplier risk management and ESG-aligned metrics while ensuring compliance with Magna's standards. The role requires a Bachelor's in finance, 5+ years in the auto sector (powertrain preferred), and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the auto industry; powertrain preferred.
Experience in purchasing (cost savings, spend, risk management).
Analytical skills are required.
Strong skills in Excel, SAP and Power BI.
Understanding of data management (database management systems & connections).
Excellent written & verbal communication.
Experience leading people.
Teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Lead teams for cost savings and supplier risk management.
Lead global purchasing budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
Consolidate and report monthly purchasing cost savings and spend results.
Monitor actual performance vs budget and forecast; identify risks and opportunities.
Own global purchasing cost savings and spend management processes.
Standardize cost savings methodologies and reporting templates across plants.
Provide financial analysis and performance reporting for cost savings initiatives.
Drive automation and digital tools with IT to improve reporting and data quality.
Collaborate to integrate sustainability and risk considerations into sourcing decisions.
