Job summary

Merck is offering a Future Talent Program internship in GPAM. The 12-week program includes hands-on projects within our R&D-focused Global Project and Alliance Management group.

You will work on real development programs, gaining exposure to project management across discovery, development, and alliance activities. Eligible candidates are enrolled in undergrad or graduate programs with related concentrations and can commit to a full-time, hybrid schedule starting June 2027.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in undergrad or grad program in public health, life sciences, technology, engineering, or project management.
• Commit to full-time, hybrid 10–12 weeks starting June 2027.
• Highly organized with attention to detail, linking project details to broader objectives.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to ask thoughtful questions.

Responsibilities

• Manage time effectively, prioritize tasks and estimate time required to complete tasks.
• Assist team and department in meeting goals and objectives.
• Support project managers and contribute inputs for decision making.
• Facilitate discussions and ask key questions to guide the team.
• Learn and apply project management tools, templates, and processes.
• Contribute to risk assessments and mitigation plans.
• Communicate updates, risks, issues, and decisions clearly to team and stakeholders.
• Lead an assigned project from initiation to close.
• Identify opportunities to improve and streamline processes.
