Job summary

JB Poindexter & Co in Michigan seeks a Global Program Manager to lead Advanced Manufacturing Engineering across North America, creating and maintaining a comprehensive project database and PowerBI dashboards to support KPI reporting and strategic roadmaps. Responsibilities

• Create and manage a project database with reporting; build PowerBI dashboards for daily, monthly, quarterly reporting and annual reviews.
• Track and manage project progress; develop templates for project inputs linked to the database.
• Collaborate with Directors of Automation Engineering and business units to document roadmaps and portfolios; maintain governance.
• Develop an audit structure to verify savings and sustainment of closed projects; feed results back to the database.
• Meet regularly with project teams to keep database and reporting current; publish monthly reports and status boards.
• Coordinate and oversee the full project portfolio across BUs; train and mentor project leaders; ensure policy compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Creates a database to effectively manage and report on current, past, and future projects. Work with JBPCO analyst group to create and manage appropriate PowerBI reports and dashboards to satisfy requirements. This to include daily management, monthly reporting, Quarterly Business Reviews, and annual Presidents Meeting report out. Reports to include timing, business benefit, plan, schedule, status, labor impact, investment, ROI, and other statistics.
• Actively works with all project teams, tracking and managing progress to plan. Develop standard templates for project input linked to database.
• Works collaboratively with Directors of Automation Engineering, Automation Engineers, Engineering Specialists and Business Unit teams to document and continually manage the overall Advanced Manufacturing Engineering project roadmaps and portfolio.
• Develops an audit structure, plan, and cadence to verify savings and sustainment of closed projects. Roll the results back into the database and report.
• Meets regularly with project teams to ensure database and reporting are kept current.
• Publishes Advanced Manufacturing Engineering monthly report and status board files.
• Works with Corporate Finance and create training on Capital Expenditure Request (CER) system usage, request preparation, and ROI justification.
• Coordinates / oversees the full project portfolio across all Business Units (BUs) within JBPCO whether being led by JBPCO centralized engineers or those from the BUs.
• Coordinates and documents the 3-5 year project roadmaps for all Business Units.
• Facilitates project planning sessions with business stakeholders to identify project milestones, and tracks performance against goals and timeline.
• Identifies, tracks, and works with others to resolve project issues.
• Ensures that activities follow organizational policies and relevant external regulations.
• Mentors and trains project leaders within JBPCO on methods and tools for effective project management.
• Creates and maintains the required level of control with all JBPCO documents.
• Effectively communicates between and across JBPCO and the Business Units to keep all aligned on achieving the business goals.
