Global Product Planner – Supply Chain Management (Fixed term until end 2027)
Summary
As a Global Product Planner you will manage supply plans across Indianapolis, IN and Mannheim, Germany hubs, maintaining product availability, optimizing MRP data, and coordinating with suppliers, regions and affiliates.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage global supply plans using affiliate forecasts and GSC strategic guidance.
- Deliver supply plans to manufacturing and supplier partners, ensuring adherence to S&OP schedules.
- Monitor cycle time, critical batches, and planning parameters to avoid stockouts and destruction costs.
- Monitor schedule adherence during S&OP meetings and address deviations.
- Respond to system alerts for supply issues and recommend timely resolutions.
- Work with IBL/IPM to define product allocations during bottlenecks and keep stakeholders informed.
- Manage inventory at global distribution centers to maintain high service levels at lowest cost.
- Support life cycle management for product launches, conversions, and phase outs, controlling launch dates and clearance of discontinued products.
- Own parameter settings for planning and supply master data across global and local systems.
- Develop or gather reports for planning processes such as Annual Planning and S&OP.
- Participate in project and sub‑project management with budget responsibility.
- Analyze complex data sets and conduct process/system analyses, including training and best‑practice presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, marketing, production, inventory control, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, marketing, production, inventory control or purchasing functions with international focus.
- Proficiency in SAP, OMP, and other supply‑chain data analysis tools.
- Strong problem‑solving, negotiation, stakeholder‑management, and communication skills.
- Project management experience and the ability to lead initiatives with budget responsibility.
- Travel up to 10% of time.

- Location: Indianapolis, IN (on‑site, up to 2 days per week working from home allowed).

- $78,600 – $146,000 annual salary range (based on Indianapolis location); additional discretionary bonus possible.
