Job summary

3M Center, Maplewood, MN is seeking a Product Development Specialist to lead the development and commercialization of Home Improvement tapes, masking systems, films, and adhesives. You will guide projects from concept through lifecycle, applying consumer insights and technical expertise.

You will coordinate cross-functional teams, drive data-driven decisions, and ensure manufacturability, quality and regulatory compliance while supporting scale-up and supplier qualification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, materials science, chemistry, physics, or related technical discipline.
• Five years of experience in product development or related fields.
• Master’s degree and ten years in product development or technical commercialization are beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical lead for product development and commercialization projects.
• Lead cross-functional teams to design, develop, and commercialize tapes, masking systems, films and adhesives.
• Determine technical strategies, development plans and risk mitigation in materials science and manufacturing.
