Job summary

GEA Group in the United States is seeking a Product Configuration & Compliance Engineer to bridge product development, engineering, operations, and regulatory teams. You will manage product configurations, ensure compliance with safety and industry standards, and support global product launches with meticulous attention to detail.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, traceability, and risk management to deliver scalable, compliant, high-performing products that meet customer needs

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in product development environment.
• Experience with NX (preferred) or other 3D modelling.
• Experience with BOM management.
• Good work ethic.
• Strong team player.
• Well-developed communication skills both written and oral.
• Self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Product Configuration Management: Translate customer or business requirements into structured product configurations, ensuring consistency across builds and releases.
• Compliance Oversight: Ensure products comply with relevant standards, regulations, and internal policies (e.g., FDA/3A, safety, data privacy, industry-specific rules).
• Build & Release Coordination: Manage digital or physical product builds, media libraries, and release schedules, often in agile environments.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with engineering, product management, operations, QA, legal, and compliance teams to align product features with compliance needs.
• Documentation & Traceability: Maintain configuration management databases (Master Specifications) and traceability matrices to link requirements to product features.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate compliance risks during product development and deployment.
