Job summary

Amazon seeks a Senior Process Safety Engineer to lead global PSM initiatives and ensure compliance with OSHA PSM, EPA RMP, Seveso, and CCPS RBPS across Worldwide operations. Focus on hydrogen and alternative energy safety is emphasized.

You will drive risk-based approaches, lead PHAs, LOPA, and FMEA, and mentor teams while partnering with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance to embed safety throughout asset lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing functional specifications and test procedures.
• Familiarity with NFPA, NEC, IFC, and IBC fire/building codes.
• 6+ years in process safety engineering in manufacturing.
• Experience with PHA, LOPA, FMEA using recognized tools.
• Experience with consequence modeling and dispersion analysis (PHAST/ALOHA/FLACS).

Responsibilities

• Lead PHAs (HAZOP/LOPA/FMEA) across global operations.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and regulatory compliance.
• Govern RBPS framework and develop supporting tools.
• Mentor regional/site teams in process safety practices.
