Tata Consultancy Services Limited is seeking a Finance Global Process Owner to drive standardization, optimization, automation, and governance across global RTR, OTC, and PTP processes. The role partners with leadership, delivery teams, and regional stakeholders to lead transformation programs, strengthen controls, and support a scalable global Finance operating model.

The GPO will develop BRDs, lead automation initiatives, and ensure SOX compliance while maintaining SOPs and global standards.

• Conduct periodic process reviews to support compliance and operational consistency.
• Develop process health dashboards and KPIs to measure efficiency, accuracy, quality, compliance, and cost effectiveness.
• Identify performance gaps, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
• Apply Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies to Finance operations.
• Partner with regional and global Finance teams to drive consistent process adoption.
• Partner with Finance leadership, client stakeholders, and delivery teams to align transformation priorities.
• Provide Finance process expertise during solution design, transitions, and transformation programs.
• Communicate process changes, performance results, risks, and improvement opportunities to senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrate strong executive presence and the ability to influence across global organizations.

The Finance Global Process Owner (GPO) will be part of the Finance Centre of Excellence (COE), responsible for driving standardization, optimization, automation, and governance across global Finance processes, including Record-to-Report (RTR), Order-to-Cash (OTC), and Procure-to-Pay (PTP).

Working closely with client leadership, the Engagement Manager, delivery teams, and regional Finance stakeholders, the GPO will lead transformation initiatives that improve efficiency, strengthen controls, enhance process performance, and support a scalable global Finance operating model.

Key Responsibilities

Global Process Ownership & Transformation

• Own and improve end-to-end Finance processes across RTR, OTC, and PTP, including AP, AR, General Ledger, reconciliations, journals, and financial close.
• Drive process standardization, simplification, automation, and continuous improvement across global Finance operations.
• Lead key initiatives such as reconciliation optimization, payment automation, manual journal reduction, and close governance improvements.
• Represent Finance GPO in transformation programs, governance forums, and cross-functional initiatives.
• Support Finance integration activities associated with acquisitions, new markets, and organizational changes.

Automation & Technology

• Develop Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and manage automation initiatives from design through implementation.
• Evaluate opportunities involving RPA, AI-enabled Finance solutions, reconciliation platforms, ERP enhancements, and workflow automation.
• Partner with technology and delivery teams to build business cases and implement scalable Finance solutions.

Governance, Controls & Compliance

• Establish and maintain Finance governance standards, including journal approval matrices, reconciliation thresholds, and close controls.
• Support SOX documentation and control enhancements as processes and systems change.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, process documentation, global standards, and best practices.
• Conduct periodic process reviews to support compliance and operational consistency.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

Stakeholder & Client Management

• Partner with Finance leadership, client stakeholders, and delivery teams to align transformation priorities with business objectives.
• Provide Finance process expertise during solution design, transitions, and transformation programs.
• Communicate process changes, performance results, risks, and improvement opportunities to senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrate strong executive presence and the ability to influence across complex, global organizations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field; CA, CPA, ACCA, or similar certification preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive Finance experience, with strong expertise across RTR, OTC, PTP, controllership, or financial close.
• Experience within a Global Process Owner, Shared Services/SSC, Finance COE, or Finance Transformation environment.
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger, reconciliations, journal governance, financial close, and Finance controls.
• Experience developing BRDs and leading process automation or transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of SOX controls, governance frameworks, and compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience with major ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or comparable Finance systems.
• Experience with automation, RPA, reconciliation tools, analytics, or AI-enabled Finance solutions preferred.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certification or equivalent process improvement experience preferred.
• Global or multi-country Finance experience strongly preferred.
