Job summary

Amazon Privacy Specialist in Arlington, VA will own defining control requirements and policy for core compliance programs within the Regulation Technology and Assurance team. Qualifications

• Experience with risk management methodologies and process improvement.
• Ability to analyze complex problems quantitatively and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Proven track record influencing multiple stakeholders and leading cross-functional teams.
• 5+ years in privacy, regulatory, or risk and compliance roles.
• Working knowledge of GDPR, ePrivacy, DMA, DSA, and US state privacy laws.
• Experience operationalizing global regulatory requirements.
• History of delivering regulatory-driven process improvements with tech processes or in major tech companies.

Responsibilities

• Define the compliance bar for one or more Privacy programs.
• Document existing technical and non-technical controls and specify requirements.
• Partner with TPMs and PMTs to develop viable technical solutions for compliance.
• Guide leadership on balancing risk mitigations with customer experience and product roadmaps.
• Drive process improvements and contribute to control implementation with other teams.
• Apply knowledge of global data privacy to articulate customer and control impact.
• Track regulatory developments to identify trends and protect customer trust.
