Exentec is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to serve as the senior technical authority for mission-critical data center infrastructure, driving reliability, uptime, and optimization across global facilities. You will lead engineering standards, incident response, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key qualifications include a 12+ year track record in data center engineering, a PE license or advanced degree, and strong skills in cooling, controls, and environmental systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 12+ years in mission-critical data center engineering, operations or design.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience with data center cooling, controls, and environmental systems.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as global SME for mechanical, electrical, controls, and environmental systems.
  • Develop and maintain engineering standards, reliability strategies, and commissioning requirements.
  • Lead incident response, RCA, and corrective action programs to improve uptime.
  • Mentor teams and promote knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Partner with clients and OEMs to drive data center improvements.
