Job summary

B Lab is seeking a Communications & PR Manager to lead the press office and earned media delivery for a global nonprofit audience. You’ll pitch proactively, draft statements, and manage journalist relationships across regions, aligning with the Director’s strategy and crisis protocols.

The role requires 5+ years in media relations, exceptional writing, and the ability to coordinate across time zones and teams in a remote-first setup. Applicants from multiple locations are welcome.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in media relations, PR, or press office roles
• Demonstrated track record of securing earned media coverage and managing press relationships
• Experience running press office logistics: media list management, inbound triage
• Experience with media monitoring and media database tools (e.g., Meltwater, Cision)
• Experience evaluating and selecting vendor tools (e.g., media monitoring software)
• Comfortable chairing or running a cross-functional or cross-network working group
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, including ghostwriting op-eds and speeches

Responsibilities

• Oversee press office operations and inbound media inquiries
• Run proactive pitching and maintain media lists
• Identify and cultivate relationships with priority outlets and journalists
• Pitch and place thought leadership content and bylines
• Feed media insights into strategic plans and flag opportunities
• Draft and distribute press releases and reactive statements
• Coordinate with regional teams and partners on messaging
• Lead cross-network PR coordination and reporting
• Manage media monitoring and insights gathering
