Merck & Co. seeks a Director to lead global public policy efforts for cardiovascular and metabolic disease areas, building and implementing policy strategies to support the company’s pipelines.

The role involves cross-functional leadership with global teams, regional policy units, and the Strategic Access, Policy, and Communications team. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in public policy, global health policy, and stakeholder engagement, with a track record of strategic priority

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience addressing public policy issues.
• Strong knowledge of non-communicable diseases or cardiovascular/metabolic diseases.
• Experience with government and non-governmental organizations in global policy.

Responsibilities

• Identify strategic priorities within a matrix organization to achieve policy goals.
• Manage consultants and budgets effectively.
• Collaborate across regional, country, and global policy teams to execute policy strategies.
• Develop and implement therapeutic area policy plans and proactive policy solutions.
